Promote Your Event Series – Guest blogging

Do you have events to promote?

In this series of articles, I will talk about some techniques that will help you reach wider audiences.

Let us start with guest blogging.

Before my latest eBook, The Little Big eBook on Blogging: 40 Traffic Generation Tips, was released, I spent several weeks building a buzz online. I had the opportunity to guest blog for three very different sites:

These three articles helped me draw major attention to my eBook, attract quality and targeted traffic to my blog and website, and gain more followers on Twitter and Google+.

Guest blogging is great because it

  • Boosts brand/expertise recognition – You can “go and meet” readers that you would not be able to reach otherwise.
  • Helps increase search engine awareness of what you have to promote very easily – It is a wonderful link-building strategy.

Do you have favorite blogs in your niche? If so, contact their owners and ask them if you can write some posts for them. You can also do a Google search and try to find interesting blogs in your niche that accept guest posts.

Submit your best content and respond to every comment and question readers of those blogs may have. Then, watch what happens!

Wow! Thanks so much, Cendrine, for introducing everyone to Empire Avenue.

I totally agree … they rock!

The results you got from promoting your book were phenomenal and it's wonderful to hear 50 members jumped right in to spread the word. :)
