Are you part of the millions of people addicted to Pinterest? If so, there is a good reason for that. The social bookmarking site for pictures and videos is an excellent traffic generator and promotional booster for businesses and entrepreneurs that know how to leverage it.
I really started using Pinterest heavily during the pre-launch phase of my new eBook (The Little Big eBook on Blogging: 40 Traffic Generation Tips). I saw the cover being re-pinned over and over. I took the time to follow the re-pins, and left a comment for each pinner. This resulted in people starting to follow me on Facebook, Twitter and Google+.
After the release, I created a specific board because I had an inkling that Pinterest is a great SEO booster. I use the board to share news about the eBook, including promo videos, new reviews, where it can be purchased, etc.
I am subscribed to Google Alerts, and one of the keywords I monitor is the title of my book. Here is an Alert I received in my Inbox the other day:
