Looking for Feedburner alternatives? Try these!

The Google Feedburner API will shut down on October 20, 2012.

The other day, Nick Kellet, the co-founder of Listly, spent some time researching alternatives and sent me the link to the list he had created.

I am sharing this list with you and hope you will find the resources useful!

Feel free to add links!

Hi Cendrine! Is there any indication of how the API shut-down will affect the FeedBurner service? I haven’t read too much about that. Great list by the way and one that I’ve bookmarked! Cheers!

      Hey Jim,

From what I read (and a friend told me), the API will still be available internally, but not to external sites. If you find anything on the topic, feel free to let me know!

      Thanks for stopping by!

Jim, The FeedBurner service itself won’t be affected by the API shutdown (nor the AdSense for Feeds service closure).

Your feed will still distribute – but any external apps that draw in your feedburner information won’t be able to do so.

Suggest you back up your subscribers list in FeedBurner in case it does die – at least you’ll be able to write to them and migrate them elsewhere.

Thank you for chiming in, Rebecca! I appreciate your advice and will certainly follow it!
