The Canadian Broadcast Corporation (CBC) announced the launch of CBC Music on Monday. The news comes after the recent landmark music licensing deal reached between the 75-year-old public broadcaster and Audio-Video Licensing Agency (AVLA).
CBC Music is a free new online music service that provides listeners with access to millions of Canadian and international songs through 40 web radio stations; 14 genre-based communities featuring blogs, news, opinions, videos, and concerts on demand; music from almost 1,000 major and independent music companies; and 30 podcasts and programmes.
