3 tools to combine multiple feeds into one

I write six columns for Examiner.com; each one has a different RSS Feed. I like to keep it simple and in one place. So, over the years, I have used several free services that have allowed me to combine all my feeds into one. Below is my Top 3 list.

FEEDcombine

FEEDcombine allows you to add as many RSS Feeds as you want and combine them together into a personalised feed. I like the design of the page. Setting up is very quick and easy.

feedcombine

ChimpFeedr

I am a big fan of MailChimp and I used their service for my former newsletter. ChimpFeedr is even easier to set up than FEEDcombine!

Some people have mentioned that the service can be unreliable at times.

Yahoo Pipes

I have used Yahoo Pipes for about a year and I love it!

It is less easy to set up than the rest and when you publish an article in one of the RSS Feeds you combined together, the entire content from this specific feed gets pushed in front of the rest. For people who work in the news like me, it is not very convenient. However, it is a VERY reliable service.

Feedburner

Once you have combined all your RSS Feed into one convenient link, I advise you to use Feedburner. Feedburner is an excellent service that provides tons of free tools for bloggers; For more information, read the following article.

I am in fact re-visiting this article by you. After the first read I went ahead with Chimpfeedr only to realize it is not updating the feed after a day or two. Yahoo pipes is not convenient since it does not sort the final feed posts by date. I did not try Feedcombine rather started using Feedstitch (http://feedstitch.com). Here I can use Open ID Authentication and the result feed is the way I wanted :)

    Hello Pranav,

Thank you for your input. It is always appreciated. Bear in mind that these tools come with pros and cons, and are very moody at times. Feedstitch did not work for me for that reason as well.

Definitely Yahoo Pipes. It can be a little challenging at times, but once you get the hang of it, it is definitely a great tool!

I love MailChimp. One of the coolest companies in Atlanta. One of the cofounders is in my entrepreneurs group.

This is a great idea. I currently use RSS Mix to combine multiple feeds so that they can be tweeted out through various channels.

    Good stuff! Keep it up!
